Next week is National Cleaning Week. If you’re a cleaning geek like me, this is very exciting!
If you’re not, it’s still the perfect time to get a jump on your spring cleaning. Here’s some tips to get you going!
Start with Small Spaces
Saying “I’m going to clean the house today!” can feel very overwhelming. Instead, start with small spaces, and take them one at a time.
Easy ones to tackle include the laundry room, home office, or den.
When you clean the laundry, you’re also helping keep your family safe. Be sure all cleaning products are kept away from pets and kids and that any spills are cleaned up.
Promote Cleanliness with Your Family
A clean home is also a healthy home. Germs and microbes that cause illness can’t thrive in a clean home.
Put soaps, towels, and other hand washing supplies in readily accessible spaces and encourage your family to use them.
Do the same with kitchen and bathroom cleaning supplies. Be sure they’re still safe from children and pets, please!
Think About Safety
Believe it or not, safety goes hand in hand with cleanliness. Use allergy-friendly cleaning products that are safe for your family and the environment, and take a few minutes to educate yourself about cleaning best practices.
