Prime Day is Amazon’s yearly promotion of its subscription service, which has many perks. Those perks include exclusive deals, free 2-day shipping on many products, and access to streaming services.  This year, it starts at midnight (PT) on Monday, June 21st, and runs through Tuesday, June 22nd.

The yearly Prime Day promotion is the perfect time to sign up for Prime if you’re not already. It’s also a great day to get some amazing deals on cool products. New members even get a 30-day free trial.

Where to Shop Prime Day Deals

The folks at Amazon know you’re busy, so you don’t need to be in front of your computer to take advantage of the deals. Alexa-compatible devices will help you shop on verbal commands. And don’t forget you can use the Amazon apps. Also, if you use smile.amazon.com to place your order, you can share the love with your favorite non-profit – that works every day, not just Prime Day.

Home Security

Getting a professional security and monitoring system for your home can offer a lot of peace of mind. And with the Ring Alarm, you get a security system that also interacts with Alexa.

Also, check out Noonlite (formerly SafeTrek). Noonlite started as an app to help college students navigate campus safely. Now, it’s a platform that helps you stay safe wherever you are. Noonlite can send first responders to your home when suspicious activity is detected, dispatch help if your car is in a crash, or directly to you if health changes warrant it.

Smart Home

Want to turn on your lights or change the climate of your house. Amazon’s Alexa makes that possible. Get started with your smart home using Amazon SmartPlug.

Video Calling (Amazon Show)

I’m particularly excited about ordering this since my brother just moved to Florida, but don’t tell him – it’s a surprise! You may be familiar with Skype, FaceTime, or other video calling apps. But most of those require you to touch a keypad of some kind to initiate the call. With Echo Show, you get the power of video calling and amazing screen quality combined with Alexa’s voice commands. That means you can video-visit your friends and family without ever picking up a device.

Get help where you need it! Most medical alert devices are wired to your home. For seniors on the go, it’s not always enough. With LifeStation Mobile GPS Medical Alert, you can get help wherever you are, whether it’s your book club, the grocery store, or walking the neighborhood.

Senior HELP Dialer Medical Alert

Active seniors may need help but not be able to get to the phone. With the Life Help Alarm System, they don’t have to. It comes with two waterproof panic buttons that can be worn safely and has no monthly subscription fee. Just help when you need it.

In addition to these fantastic products, Alexa also offers other services, called skills. Here are some of our favorites.
